We meet with all of our new clients one-on-one. This initial meeting is invaluable to welcoming you to the Alinea family and ensuring that we can continue to support you through your separation process. More importantly, at this meeting our clients get a clear idea of immediate next steps they can take, strategies they can employ, and basic knowledge of their rights and responsibilities at law.

Strategy Session – Standard

We book standard Strategy Sessions for 90% of our new clients, who are not at the agreement stage. This Strategy Session is for you if you have just separated or have been separated for a while and are not sure what steps to take to settle and finalize your family law issues. You can always book another Strategy Session at any point in your case.

Included:

1.5 to 2-hour one-on-one session with lawyer to

get overview of rights, responsibilities and entitlements at law on separation;
identify possible solutions or proposals to resolve family law matter;
identify information you need to gather to take next steps in your case;
put together a straightforward and easy “To Do” list to get you to the next stage in the process;
get recommendations about the best way to deal with the problems you may be encountering;
get recommendations or referrals to other support services to help ease the separation process;

Written report of meeting with strategies and next steps to take towards reaching an agreement with your spouse.

Cost: $600 plus tax

Strategy Session – Light

We book a light Strategy Session for clients who have been separated for a while, have been through the legal process and only have one legal issue they need to fix. This Strategy Session Light is for you if you are familiar with and comfortable using legal resources available for free and you have a basic understanding of the legal process.

Included:

1 hour one-on-one session with lawyer to

get overview of your issue, the background of your case, and steps already tried to resolve the issue,
discuss recommended solution to resolve issue,
put together a straightforward and easy “To Do” list to properly complete the next steps to achieve resolution.

Cost: $375 plus tax
